Most people who go on vacation to South Tyrol appreciate, above all, the numerous hiking possibilities. Enjoy steep mountain paths, forest walks, rivers and streams, meadows and fields, stick and stone ...
Along the "Meraner Höhenweg"
Experienced hikers love the Meraner Höhenweg. This circular route, marked number 24, is one of the most beautiful in the Alps. The almost 100km long trail can be hiked in five or eight daily stages and offers impressive views.
The "Waalwege"
Especially popular in the South Tyrol are the typical Waalwege, old irrigation channels which once served the farmers to irrigate their remote fields. Here you can walk, without steep slopes, along the comfortable forest floor. In Rabland and the surrounding area you will find Waalwege and you should definitely give them a try.
Indoor & outdoor climbing
Climbing enthusiasts also enjoy the endless possibilities of their sport. Several climbing options and high rope courses are also suitable for children. The "Hoachwool" via a ferrata,(a protected climbing route), the Naturns, the "Burgstallknott" in Parcines and the "Huafwond" in Rabland all provide special, close-to-nature climbing experiences.
Nature Park & Waterfall
During your stay in Rabland, hiking in the nearby Texelgruppe Nature Park is available. This is, in a sense, on the doorstep! The various cable cars, such as the Texelbahn, the Aschbachbahn and the Unterstell will take you to your desired height in the shortest possible time. Especially worth seeing is the Partschinser waterfall; a true spectacle of nature and a worthwhile hiking destination!
